The kitchen was designed for a family of five, comprised of young professionals, with children of kindergarten to high school age and a hectic lifestyle. The large one level island provides a flexible work surface for food preparation and seating or serves as a large buffet area for entertaining.

Seeking an eclectic blend of the Arts and Crafts style and the traditional tastes of the intended consumer, a complimenting earth tone palette with a flair for the unexpected has been maintained. Unique wall finishes, laminated glass door fronts in the hutch area, and architecturally detailed concave niches were utilized for dramatic focal points.

The appliances were also selected with this busy family in mind and include separate refrigerator and freezer units from the Sub Zero 700 series, Wolf’s E series 36” gas range, an adjacent warming drawer and second oven with a built-in microwave. Taking care of the clean up task is an Asko dishwasher and oversized Kohler sink, perfect for entertaining.
