Jimmy specializes
in interiors that are timeless, classic and eclectic.
Jimmy earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan
University’s arts management program in 1988. Discovering
his love for design, he began studying interior architecture
/ design at Lawrence Technological University. After ten years
with Franklin based Perlmutter-Freiwald, Jimmy launched James
Douglas Interiors in 2005.
Primarily a residential designer, Jimmy specializes in interiors
that are timeless, classic and eclectic. He has a keen eye for
the perfect mix and excels as construction liaison with clients
and trades. Jimmy concentrates on architectural details as a
key element in enhancing his interiors.
He is a 2008 Detroit Home award winner and named 2008 Best
Interior Designer by the Oakland Press. Jimmy has been featured in numerous
local trade publications such as; Detroit
Home, Home & Design,
the Builder’s Journal and the Home
Book. |
