  • A scrolled iron spiral staircase, highlighted by a Kichler chandelier, leads visitors up through the office. Virginia Tile porcelain covers the floor and 2-story walls are enhanced by raised panel detail in wood and paint.

  • Living room Precedent sofas now face each other for better conversation area with a chaise for reading. The varying shades of taupe coordinate with the fireplace and traversing drapery from Fabricut replaced vertical blinds.

  • This bathroom features cabinetry with all the extras for grooming and storage in a black glazed finish that enhances original white marble. Virginia Tile mosaics, a Stark sisal rug and towels in soft gold warmed the room.

  • This kitchen needed a new look for pickled oak cabinets. Redesigning with Thybony bronzed wall covering, lighting, granite and cabinet hardware showcase the cabinets in an exciting new look and it saved replacement expense.

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
From new drapery to new construction, Valerie will create interior design concepts unique to you because they will be inspired by you. The first and most important thing I do is LISTEN to my client and provide the services you desire. I’ll ask lots of questions to uncover the end objective, identify existing pieces that are important to you and develop a plan to use them successfully in the new design. Based on your answers, I’ll make recommendations. You will always make the final decisions.

SPECIALTIES
Valerie is unique in her ability to design and draft architectural features allowing her to work comfortably with architects, contractors and homeowners. From initial planning stages through construction, to the final interior design details, Valerie provides the necessary leadership to keep the project moving within budget. A long time member of the Michigan Design Center in Troy, she is affiliated with a team of talented and reliable service providers for construction and interior products.

FEE METHODS
Consultation services are billed by the hour and merchandise is on a cost plus basis. A retainer is required.
