CELEBRATIONS @HOME: a decorating and entertaining event
On Wednesday, October 5 and Thursday, October 6,
Michigan Design Center hosted their third annual
Celebrations event. The festivities kicked off on Wednesday
evening with a new charity preview gathering that welcomed
over 420 guests to the building. Attendees enjoyed the
unveiling of over 35 celebratory vignettes created by the
area’s top interior designers and a silent auction with 100%
of proceeds benefitting Variety The Children’s Charity.
Food was provided by Nino Salvaggio’s, Andiamo Catering,
Zazios - Birmingham, and The Melting Pot - Troy.
The Thursday Open House event was attended by over
600 guests and featured keynote presentations by Nino
Salvaggio’s, Blumz by JRDesigns, and Joe Farris. All
proceeds from the keynote lectures benefitted Variety. In
addition, hundreds of toy donations were collected to benefit
Variety’s Santa’s Workshop holiday gift-giving efforts. |
