Designer Brunch & Learn Hosted by The Ghiordes Knot

Trade professionals are invited to join The Ghiordes Knot for two back-to-back CEU courses on Thursday, March 26, from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Mid-America Room. Leah Phillips, co-owner of Delos Custom Rugs, will present each course. Area Rug Constructions will give you insight on rug construction and terminology, followed by Dyed in the Wool, which examines wool as a fiber, as well as the benefits and products available. Brunch and check-in will take place at 10 a.m., followed by the presentations. Each attendee will receive a wool felted bag and there will a drawing for several other giveaways. Mixing high-end items with more moderately priced pieces to stay on a client’s budget is a balancing act that professional interior designers are adept at handling with skill and taste. Designers know when and how to choose a more affordable piece in a room without sacrificing the space’s cohesion or impact, such as in this example by Dan Davis Design.
