See how interior designers live in Michigan Design Center’s Home Tour: Designers’ Own Homes on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Designers Kevin Serba, Pamela Singer, and Kristin Smith invite you to visit their elegant homes, as well as a stunning house Katie Rodriguez designed in conjunction with Brandywine Construction for the builder-owner of the company. Interiors range from transitional to contemporary, while architectural styles span from East Coast Shingle Style to classic townhouse. Three homes are in Birmingham and one is in Royal Oak. Designers will be on site during the tour and will be happy to answer any questions during this one-day-only event.
Single tickets are $35, or $60 for a pair. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Birmingham, an all-volunteer organization of women whose community involvement has included children’s health and nutrition programs, fighting human trafficking, and combating child abuse and neglect. After purchasing tickets online, you will be mailed a packet that includes a brochure and map as well as a blue wristband. Please wear this wristband the day of the tour, as it will serve as your ticket. Feel free to start the tour, held rain or shine, in any order you wish.
Tickets must be purchased online by Tuesday, Sept. 10, and will not be sold the day of the tour. If any tickets remain after Sept. 10, they may be purchased at Michigan Design Center, Suite 25, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is advisable to call the MDC management office (248.649.4772) after Sept. 10 to see if tickets are still available.
