Meet & Greet

RJ Thomas, Ltd. and Judy Frankel Antiques are collaborating to bring you an ongoing series, “The Unexpected Mix: The Beauty of Mixing Old with New,” in which notable designers combine contemporary furnishings with antiques in their vignettes. The next designers are Dan Davis and Amy Vucaj. The public is invited to see the vignettes and meet Dan, Amy, and Judy, from 1 - 3 p.m. in Suite 82 of the RJ Thomas showroom.

Habatat Galleries’ 47th Annual Glass Art Exhibition

Habatat Galleries invite you to celebrate their 47th Annual Glass Art Exhibition at Michigan Design Center (Suites 39 and 103), as well as at their Royal Oak art gallery. Habatat offers the finest works of contemporary art glass from around the world. The event is open to the public May 4 through July 5. Artworks are posted on See last year’s exhibition at

Habatat also will be presenting an exhibition of works in clay and glass, Exploded Earth, by renowned artist Steve Tobin in Suite 103. There will be a reception to meet the artist, whose work is pictured, on May 2 from 3 - 5 p.m. The public is invited. The exhibition will be open from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., or by appointment, through June 30.

The Ghiordes Knot Is
on the Move

The Ghiordes Knot will soon be moving from Suite 20 to a more spacious showroom in Suite 90, on the north side of the building. The projected move should be completed sometime in June. The Ghiordes Knot has been selling distinctive rugs and flooring since 1977. Come visit them soon in their new home!
