International Women's Day

International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. To celebrate, Ruth Casper Design Studio is teaming up with their friends and neighbors here at MDC to focus on supporting women in the industry.

Panel Discussion | 1 P.M. | Mid-America Room

The day’s festivities will begin with a panel discussion featuring some amazing women in the design world. Panelists included:

Ruth Casper

Ruth Casper, Ruth Casper Design Studio

Ruth has been an interior designer since 1997 and has a studio located at MDC in Suite 102E. A Syracuse University Interior Architecture graduate, she's garnered various design awards & press in publications like Detroit Design Magazine and Detroit News Homestyle.

Molly Borman

Molly Borman, Housewife Essentials

Molly is Founder of Housewife Essentials, a Detroit-based wallpaper company with over 80 designs in various patterns, colors, and styles. Previously she worked as a writer for Ralph Lauren’s website for 5 years where she formed her love affair with color.

Sherri Daughtry

Sheri Daugherty, Suite Dreams Project

Sheri is Director of Development for Suite Dreams Project, a local charity that brings bedroom spaces that are beautiful, functional, and healing to children facing medical, physical, and emotional challenges.

Paulina Petkoski


Paulina is Co-Founder and Director of Playground Detroit, an art gallery located in downtown Detroit that opened in 2017 with a commitment towards supporting Detroit artists and the art community through various enrichment programs and events.
