International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. To celebrate, Ruth Casper Design Studio is teaming up with their friends and neighbors here at MDC to focus on supporting women in the industry.
Panel Discussion | 1 - 1:30 P.M.
The day’s festivities will begin at 1 p.m. with a panel discussion featuring prominent women designers, leaders, and creators. The session will be moderated by Patty Murray from Ruth Casper Design Studio, and the panel will include:
- Ruth Casper – Principal Interior Designer at Ruth Casper Design Studio
- Brittany Elliott – Owner at City Lights Detroit
- Shannon Teeple – Studio Manager at Epiphany Studios

Women’s Merchant Fair | 1:30 - 3 P.M.
