Reps from Lakeside/Metro Quartz mini-slabs will discuss how Metro Quartz can be book-matched, unlike some other quartz products on the market. Live 20/20 demos with TV monitor will be situated in the front window and will run all day. Jason Artus, vice president of sales and marketing for Rutt HandCrafted Cabinetry, presents “Distinguished by Detail,” focusing on Rutt’s Exeter, Prairie, and Ruskin lines. The Ghiordes Knot, in partnership with the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center (BBAC), will host a textile weaver demonstrating on a table loom. There will also be textiles from the BBAC on view during the day, some of which are from the exhibition The Textile Connection: A Dialogue, on view at the BBAC through June 7. Ursula Schneider, sales manager for Solid Surfaces Unlimited, presents “Beyond the Surface: Everything You Should Know About Solid Surfaces, Quartz Surfaces, and Natural Stone,” which will include how each product is made and real-life applications. Nicole Kromrey, district sales manager for Lakeside Surfaces, will speak about some of the more unique applications for quartz products. Step out of the design box and learn how this product can be used in many ways, not just on a countertop. Discover how programs such as Slabmith and robotic technology in the fabrication affect the overall finished product.
