See how interior designers put their skills and creativity to work in Michigan Design Center’s Home Tour: Smart Solutions, on Saturday, Sept. 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residences of architectural and design diversity will be on display in this one-day-only event. Visit the home of designer Carrie Long, along with residences designed for clients by Ann-Marie Anton, Diane Hancock, and Rita O’Brien. Designers will be on site during the tour.
Single tickets are $35, or $60 for a pair. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Birmingham, an all-volunteer organization that trains women to act as catalysts for lasting change while improving the community. Current partner organizations include CARE House of Oakland County, Lighthouse of Oakland County, Common Ground, Foster Closet of Michigan, and Metro Detroit S.O.A.P.
After purchasing tickets online, you will be mailed a packet that includes a brochure and map as well as a blue wristband. Please wear this wristband the day of the tour, as it will serve as your ticket. Feel free to start the tour, held rain or shine, in any order you wish. Protective booties, which will be supplied, must be worn at each home.
Tickets must be purchased online by Monday, Sept. 17. If any tickets remain after that date, they may be bought at Michigan Design Center, Suite 25, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is advisable to call the MDC management office (248.649.4772) after Sept. 17 to see if tickets are still available.
