See how interior designers put their creativity to work in transforming five homes during Michigan Design Center’s Home Tour: Total Transformations, on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Residences of wide architectural and design diversity will be on display in this one-day-only event. The residences of designers Amy Miller Weinstein, Richard Ross, and Marianne Jones are included, along with homes designed for clients by Corey Damen Jenkins and Ian Hartwell. Designers will be on site during the tour.
Single tickets are $35, or $60 for a pair. Proceeds benefit the Junior League of Birmingham, an all-volunteer organization of women whose community involvement has included children’s health and nutrition programs, fighting human trafficking, and combating child abuse and neglect. After purchasing tickets online, you will be mailed a packet that includes a brochure and map as well as a blue wristband. Please wear this wristband the day of the tour, as it will serve as your ticket. Feel free to start the tour, held rain or shine, in any order you wish.
Tickets must be purchased online by Tuesday, Sept. 5. If any tickets remain after that date, they may be bought at Michigan Design Center, Suite 25, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It is advisable to call the MDC management office (248.649.4772) after Sept. 5 to see if tickets are still available.
