Tony Roko
Artistic Style: Bold & Expressive Figurative Paintings
Tony Roko’s artistic journey began on the factory floor at Ford’s Wayne Assembly Plant, where his talent was discovered while working on the production line. Named Ford’s Resident Artist, Roko has since transformed industrial spaces and created commemorative works for the company—including pieces for the revitalized Michigan Central Station in Detroit.
Today, Roko is one of the Midwest’s most recognized contemporary artists, with work collected worldwide and commissioned by celebrities like Jay Leno and Lady Gaga. His bold use of color and expressive style reflect Detroit’s cultural roots and industrial legacy, with his work featured in institutions such as the Charles Wright Museum and Detroit Foundation Hotel.
Select pieces by Tony Roko are currently on view at Rita O’Brien Interiors.
