Common Roots

Designer: Valeria Zozaya, Zozaya Studio

Vignette Type: Tabletop

Vignette Description: Inspired by the rich colors and artistry of Mexican pottery, Common Roots celebrates the joy of gathering around a table, no matter where we come from. This setting honors family, friendship, and the simple pleasure of sharing a meal.

The table tells a story of traditions carried across cultures and enriched by new experiences. For those of us who have made a home in another country, celebrations like Thanksgiving become woven into the customs we already cherish. Together, these traditions reflect both where we come from and where we now call home.

Common Roots invites us to recognize what connects us across cultures: sharing food, making room for one another, and celebrating life together.
